Practice as hard as you can before competition because it does put you under a lot of pressure to not mess up for your squad and to do well. If you have any question ask you coach before competition and don't think things will just work out.Ads by Google

Be prepared. Competition day is a very nerve racking day. You're scared you won't hit your stunts or your jumps. Don't stress because it will only kill your energy. You can't just not think about it, but try to think of things like oh yeah, everyone is going to be so pumped and hit their toe touch! We are going to be great! It can only help! - 3
Remember to have fun and bust out those facials! - 4
If you have your competition music on your iPod then listen to it and imagine yourself perfectly executing your routine (your stunts hit, your basket tosses are high, you have lots of attitude in your dance, strong arm motions, high jumps, toes pointed, clean transitions, tight and on time tumbling, exciting facials, pyramid hits, and strong ending pose).

Tips:
- Practice facials in the mirror; if you don't feel like a complete idiot, you're not doing it right.
- Think on time is late and 15 minutes early is on time.
- If you don't feel prepared, ask your coach if you can work 1 on 1 or with your stunt group.
- Everything is muscle memory, practice like you will compete.
- Check your hair and make-up supplies a week before competition so you have times to replace things if they broke or ran out.
- At least act like you're having fun, if you aren't really.
